Improve my weekend

We all love weekend, and always plan what to do as early as on Monday. Everybody in family plan what they would like to do, going shopping, jog in the park, swimming, and fishing just to name a few. Before end of the week sometimes new things popup and planned need to be changed.

For me, I have planned what I want to do and Saturday is for me to spend time with my family and Sunday is for me to do what I want to do. But sometimes need to change my plan due to last minute request or other more important things.

My weekend activities that I have set sometimes need to change. Initiative and action plan also need to be reviewed as to ensure I deliver and satisfy my family which I consider as my customer.

As in KPI activity, we plan and expected results with initiatives set and action plan ready to be executed but sometimes a fallback plan is also required as to ensure a good results produced.

My Shoes My KPI

In carry out our activities we use more than one shoes going to work using office shoes, ride motor bike using riding shoes, playing golf using golf shoes, jogging using jogging shoes and all related to what we want to do.

Why are we not using the same shoes to do all the activities that we love to do?  My reason is just because I want to perform better and feel better. In other word to keep my personal KPI (Key Performance Indicator) better than before.  I want to perform better in my games, better presentation in the office, more confident in doing things.

Using the suitable shoes (tools) do contribute to the performance results. So choose the proper tool for the occasion.

Initiatives in the family

Parent set the direction or taget they required and need to identify how to achive the target set. Or in other word vision and mission have been set and next step is to identify the initiatives require for the kids to delivery or KPI for the kids.

If we list daily activities for the kids some of the activities that they do normally

• Related to school such as attend class and do homework
• Play games
• Prepare themself such as clean up their room
• Help to clean up the house such as water the plant, pickup garbage
• Many other things as instruct by parent

So all these activities can be considered as initiatives or KPI for the kids

With all the vision, mission and activities or KPI identified the next steps is the implementation

In a Family

The father is the CEO of the family and with the mother as the managing director. The kids are the subject that need achivement. Father and mother have set their goals/ vision for their kids and have planned their mission to achive the target set. So the first value of Target, Vision, Mission are ready to follow and to be reviewed yearly depand on the kids achievment.

To achive the target the parent will need money to support the program that they have set such as saving money for their kids and also money for their daily survival. The program need financial support and investment where a proper budget needed to plan money for investment and also money to spend daily. Operational expenditure (Opex) where the parent will buget for their daily expenses and Investment expenditure with save money for investment for the programs either through investment in trust fund, buying property, etc. Hopefully return on investment started to generate revenue the comming years to support the program

With the planned schedule for the kids....from pre-school to college, th prarent now need to implement the planned schedule for their kids and start to monitor their progress.

The kids is our asset for us to drive them to achive their goal of becomming the proud kids for the family.

The parent have decide the target for their kids. And start planning what need to be done during pre-shool, primary school, secondary school and collage. Immediate, short term and long term planning done and now how to go about it. To do all of the planned items need to find money and need to save for long term planning and also for short term planning.

When we were born into this world our parent have their ambition what they want us to be. To become a doctor, lawyer, engineer and the most of all they have set their target.

They planned how to achieve their target, which preschool to go to, which primary school, and some parent decide which collage they want their Kids to be in.

Basically they have set their Vision and Mission which will prove the direction of KPI

My Simple KPI

Hummm.......KPI is everywhere?

Maybe....I would like to try using KPI in my daily routine which should improve and organize my life better.....hopefully.
